Your population is of approximately 200 individuals that live at a village the margins of the river Ituí. They are very young, because during the first contacts, in the beginning of the decade of 70, more than 70% of these indigenous ones died from flu and of other diseases.

Maloca Matis

The Matis conserve all your culture and traditional habits. This etnia has an enormous adaptation capacity. The Matis are known how "men ounce" because your tattoos and your ornaments turn them similar to this animal.

They are classified as villagers and your dialect  belong the linguistic family Pano.
